Towards the end of 2019, alternative-rock unit newcomers from Bandung, MoND released a single titled "Go" and a bonus track titled "Overture". The band currently consists of Kaulika (Vocal), Defta (Guitar, Synth), Nazal (Bass), Farizan (Guitar), they’re trying to talk about turbulence and the dynamics of inter-personal relationships among those who are growing up. According to the personnel "Overture and Go are a unity of story, although each has its own color, but both of them still have almost the same nuances and represent a picture of the dynamics in a relationship".
In accordance with the meaning of the title, Overture (Opening of a substantial thing), this song was chosen as the "opening" story about the “turbulence” which was divided in 2 tracks. A sense of doubt about someone's disappearance, while keeping hope for a good condition, is the main message in the song. The "atmospheric" sound of the synth is combined with an explosive rhythm and vocal style that tends to be haunting.
Then, in the single song "Go", a message about doubt and fear of losing in the previous song begins to be answered. The song "Go" is elaborating the "unsettled feeling" when facing the lowest point in a certain relationship. The feeling of being tired and bored with the condition, eliminates their hope of a good situation while accepting the fact that each of them moves away. From a musical point of view, this song has a more progressive nuance that is wrapped in odd rhythms and full of changing guitar shades which mix well with the distinctive vocal with a haunting style from Kaulika. In the end, the song "Overture" and "Go" is a tribute to those who have learned / can accept negative reality that is not always directly proportional to expectations, a love letter to the upheaval inside a certain relationship. Moreover, both songs imply an exploration of the color of music from the entire spectrum which constructing the musical identity of MoND.
